Huh? You can get 200 LP for talking to girls? In my game I've only noticed it go up once by 100, or do you have to do it at different times of the day?

No, just talking to them twice after giving them a gift, or even just talking twice merits a 200 LP gain. It a good way to keep LP up if you've ran out of gifts, albeit slow.
