So it might be a different result when you're married.
Married=Event and no Kappa
Single=Event and Kappa.

Actually, there are two mirror events. In one of them, you don't see anything in the mirror, you just see an exclamation mark above your character's head, hear a bang, like a door slamming, and get the "What was that noise?" message, or something like that. In the other one, you see a very brief image of the Kappa in the mirror and an exclamation mark above your head, but no noise or message. You can see both events before you're married, and I think after marriage as well, though I'm not entirely sure.
