I have Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition. For some reason, everytime I go to the Fodder dispenser I can't get out any Fodder. It only says 'Check'. What's wrong?

It means you have no fodder buy good fodder or grow it with fertillizer then cut it with your sickle

buy fertilizer and put it in the pasture, each square of grass need one fertilizer
then wait some more days until it grows

If you plan to get a pond, don't fertilize the area where it goes, as it wastes money if you do.

Do I have to keep fertilizing it? Or does 1 last forever?

Also, about trees:
1) Is it true that the fruit trees don't need fertilizer or water?
2) When and how often do the trees produce fruit?

Once is enough

1.yeah...but if you want to improve its quality without using tartan, then you should give it fertilizer

2.Hmm, about...2-3 seasons, im forget already
but itll continually giving you fruits if its in the right season

Where exactly does the pond go? How big is it?

I need to know so I can fertilize everywhere but that spot.

Will I get ducks in any chapter when I get the pond? When you sell the ducks/duck eggs how much are they worth?

The pond will be by your tree, on the side closer to your barn. I don't know exactly how many squares it takes up, but if you just fertilize the grass closest to the barn and don't go back more than 5 or 6 rows you'll be fine

I heard that in SE you could get the ducks in any chapter, but I bought the duck pond in chapter 1 just in case. You just need to wake up after you wife sometime in chapter 2 and you'll have them. I don't know how much they sell for. Maybe you should plan on keeping them?

wait, are you sure about the duck thing, i thought it was like chapter 2 or 3

ducks come in chapter 2
woke up after your wife wake, i got them in chapter 2 in my AWLSE

and duck's egg basically have a same appearance and price like chicken egg
