thats horrible for a 3+ game little people play it and some ppl are vegetarians

I wouldn't want a slaughterhouse. I'm fine without meat and I love my animals. (I'm not vegetarian either.)

OMG do people not read the other posts I've been over this 1,000 times if you don't like that feature don't use it. its as simple as that. Vegetarians don't need to use it if they don't want and you could call the butcher on the phone and he would ask you what animal and you would pick one and he would take her away

Hmm, I got it! Instead of a slaughterhouse, they need to put in a non-meat substitute that could easily be used in meat based recipes! I say they put in soybean based foods in the next games!

Then everyone who wants meat based dishes will have them, and all the vegetarians and religous people can still complete the lists, and the animals don't get shipped to their doom. Mayve even put in a special soy food maker too? As for the jerky thing, well maybe they could just make that buyable or makeable out of fish. I don't think soy can be that well done.

thats a good idea, and for the smokehouse you can only keep fish fresh for 2 days, and you need to keep it in the pond for it to stay alive and fresh. And you hang it up in the smokehouse for two days ( it could hold like 99 fish) It turns into smoked fish and the varieties would count like for a recipe you needed a medium smoked salmon, or for this chowder you need clams... you could have Gotz build you a calm farm off your island where clams can grow and you can harvest the clams for recipes. There would be more varieties of fish and you can't just throw any old fish in any recipe.

It would be harder to make recipes then.

I know. I think it's a good idea, but it would be hard to make the recipes. :b And Harvest Moon isn't a realistic series.

Heh, I'm not sure I'd like a slaughterhouse.

I mean, yeah, I'm sick of having my farmer eat just fish, but I rarely feed my farmer anyway.

And I like my animals. Sometimes. XD

But I think Harvest Moon could do without a meat option. I mean, you're a DAIRY FARMER. Not a meat famer dude thing. Dairy. Which means you produce milk and eggs. Not meat. =D

You should use the touch screen part for the cooking. To like slice up evrything. That would be fun. Like chop the veggies do stuff like that. That would make cooking more fun.

the touch screen part sounds hilarious but of course it wouldnt be rated E

slaughter-house sounds like a good idea, i always wondered what the heck with the cooking, you need protein and in some versions there are no nuts

maybe if not a slaughter house then at least letting you buy meat at the store, it does sound like something that would make some younger people sad though (or maybe not even younger people) but it is a good idea because then it makes it easier to get the witch ^^ (hehe)

and the hooves you can use for gelatin! (jello!!!)

Anyone play Digimon World (1) for the PS1?

Just add in a Meat Farm that randomly grows meat, different sizes depend on different things possibly

wait, you actually grow meat? that's kinda odd. to the point of the harvest series not being realistic i have to agree. honestly, why do we use a watering can to water individual squares? the hose was invented years ago!
seriously, a slaughterhouse would make it a lot more real though. we need one! :lala:

You wouldn't GROW meat, you would buy it... or get it from yr animals. But I'm not into the whole killing animals thing.
