why do people hate nami?

The only part I like about her is her red hair. I just think she looks unhappy, she's not rude or anything, but I don't like her at all.

Same here but if she wore nicer clothes and had a different hair style and well I'd probably change everything about her other than her hair colour! And yeah people hate her because it's just there opinion!

I used to, but don't anymore.

I like her in AWL, she's cute, and I like the obvious way she crushes on Gustafa (same as DS, I suppose..)

I also like her in Magical Melody.. she's so adorable, and I love her little "grunt" voice

I don't really like her in DS. She's cute sometimes, but they made her look ugh ;_; she looks fat , and her personality kinda sucks in DS.

I don't know, Nami has some pretty obnoxious fans. Like this one iperson I saw - started a whole thread, all reproachful, about people OMG DARING to not like HIS favourite girl, all the while frothing and ranting all over the place about how ZOMG HORRIBLE Muffy is, and how everyone likes her is stupid. Geez...total yutz.

Sometimes, a character's more annoying fans can ruin the character for people.

I like Nami. She's different. She's tough and a little cold and a little unsure and just generally more complex than most girls in the HM games. Not everyone has to be sunshine and kittens and bubblegum pop.

What surprises me is the majority of people getting onto her about her boyish appearance. They act as if no girls in the real world dress like her.

Nami is one of my favorite characters.

I guess she only appeals to a certain group of people. I mean someone who likes Nami might hate Celia. And someone who likes Celia might hate Nami back.

i like the idea of a non girly girl but theres not alot of meat on the bone, she's just not that interesting, i dont really find any of the awl girls that interesting i think their purpose became too much for breeding and it bores me, but nami i find the least interesting, she almost seems like a wanna be cool girl to me

i like flora and the special girls as for my DS choice, the other girls are cute but just not that interesting

I hate nami because of how much she abuses luffy because
1. It’s not funny at all.
2. Nami hurting him doesn’t make sense she’s supposed to be the 2nd weakest strawhat and luffy shouldn’t be hurt by punches or lightning because HE IS MADE OF RUBBER!!! Like if nami hurt luffy by poking him with sharp objects it would still be aggravating, but at least it would make sense.
3. What nami is doing to luffy It’s basically domestic abuse and because they’re portraying and comedy it’s implying that domestic abuse shouldn’t be taken seriously.
4. It’s used so many times throughout one piece and the more you use one joke the less funny it gets.
5. (and this is the thing that really pisses me off) is how so many people find it funny like why do so many people find domestic abuse funny?!

2) Perhaps even more importantly, particularly for you, fishie...this thread is not about Nami from One Piece. It's about a different Nami, from the video game: Harvest Moon DS/Cute. This is Nami. She has never met Luffy.
