Sleeping bag help!!!!!

Okay, so I ran into a problem:
I finished the 1st cave and beat the boss but I didn't get the sleeping bag because my inventory was full. I tried going through the cave again, but the sleeping bag scene wouldn't trigger. Am I « Snuggly Bunny » or can I get it some other way?

What is this event. I did not know anything of it. I would like to know an answer to this too. Can the sleeping bag be missed?

You had 45 different items in your pack that early in the game? Zavier comes by and gives it to you when you get deep in the first cave, try talking to him again (he hands around in the farming spots west of the cave entrance.)

Why would you carry that much so early on? I beat that cave on spring 4. I'd imagine it's still obtainable since camping is one of your skills.

He gives it to you when your near the door of the Greater Demon.
