You know that scavenger hunt on the 26th of Summer? Well, the Book glitch doesn't seem to work in the ENG version. Natsume must've fixed it. Dammit all!
Note: I have only been able to use the following trick after end of the game.
lol the main problem for me about house upgrading is that 2000 lumbers 0_O
and i stupidly waste all of my lumber stock to built animal barns since i didnt realize about house upgrade at all
Damn, i thought all along that you only needed 200 lumber, now after reading Syvle's post, i now know...
I was all pumped up as i almost had the money for the house, 2k logs, « Puppy Doodoo » thats a lot of cutting!

Hmmm can't say thats a lot of wood. Looking at how much wood I have I think you will be able to make the big house on the second year. Its not like you will have to worry about making a lot of upgrades like older harvest moons. Its just one big upgrade >>
It's easy enough to get the wood for the house by late summer early fall. All you need to do is cut stumps, which gives 10 wood each. Plus it's easy to have all the way through Mt. Gigant finished by the beginning of summer. I'm on spring 19 and already have Clemens done, which gives me plenty to cut.
Yeah this game isn't particularly difficult. Money is easy enough to get by winning the contests, in which you only need a large item to get first place.
So, how is it possible to even *beat* it in 20 minutes? Even knowing where the book is, running straight there and back, and teleporting out of the cave, I still can't get there except in a little under an hour. I'd *like* to be able to get at least the 100k as I'm sick of fishing, too annoyed with Cave 2 and levelling to try to beat it, and so on.
