How to get the house the easy way.

First, Upgrade your ax to at least level 3.
Then, have fun mining, it's really easy.
Next, Every day, Cut 10 stumps.
It'll take you 20 days to get 2k wood.
Or, if you cut 20 stumps a day, 10 days.
You get the point, it's really not that hard.

no I just mean save before I go to sleep and if there isn't a tornado I reload until theres one. I just need 100,000 gold and 800 more pieces of wood

I am guessing you haven;t unlocked many mines right? Cause if you have the second and 3rd mine daily reloads a lot of stumps

I haven't found the right weapon yet. lol I have the little weak 800 g sword. XD but it did help me defeat that boss
