leveling swords..?

I understand that everyone's leveling up their stuff...but I thought it just affects their selling price..not their attack..?
..ah..anyone care to explain ?

I assure you leveling a sword affects its attack. It might now show in the stats but as soon as you swing the sword on an enemy you will see a big difference. You might not see 10000 damage but from 40 it can easily go to 100.

Well, if you smith your own swords, you can make a much bigger profit by trading them back and forth with someone you can trust than by just selling them to a store right away. Or, in the future, I could see people looking for particular items paying more for higher level items. Trading does not affect the attack power of a weapon at all. The selling price becomes the flat out price for a level one item times the item's level. So as you can see, there's much profit to be made by trading back and forth.

Edit: Hmm.... I didn't notice that before. I'll have to buy an unlevel wind sword to test it out against my level 6 one.

Do you think it's possible to beat the last boss without an insanely cool lvl 100 traded sword..?

i dont see any reason that you cant, since i myself beat every single and the last boss without lvl 100 weapons,
from kamait-toros, lvl 2 long sword (goblin dropped it)
from toros-mt gigant, lvl 1 two hand sword
from mistbloom till greed, lvl 1 star blade
