...with no worry of corrupting your save file in RF.

Soft-reseting the DS (holding down 'start', 'select', 'L' and 'R' at the same time) is a way to get back to the intro of a game without pushing (or flicking in lite's case) the power button and then doing it again to turn it back on... saves you a bit of time if your trying to reload your save because you messed up bad.

In Rune factory though two of those buttons togeather do something that causes the game to save(screenshots.... holding down 'L' and 'select'...only saves the screenshot though not your current progress)... I had been worried that while trying to soft-reset the system i accidently held down select first, not start and then continued with the soft-reset that it would start saving and then reset... thereby corrupting your save data.

So.... I started a new game in the second slot (named 'Glich?')and tried it out (didnt want to lose my current status) what happened was that it took the screenshot and while it was saving i held down the other buttons to finish up the soft reset.. and it did a miraculus thing... it WAITED till the screenshot was saved to soft-reset the system...

Then comes the second part... I went to load Glich? and it loaded just fine... the screenshot that I just took while reseting was in the mirror thing in the house as well.

I would however recomend if you want to soft-reset to hold down 'L' and 'R' first and then using your thumb to roll over 'start' then 'select'... just so you dont have to wait for the game to save a screenshot that you really didnt want in the first place.

I discovered this too, but on my good file. I got so freaked out for minute, because I was like "Oh « Cow Poopoo », this is gonna be HMDS all over again!" But then again, miracles do happen once in a while :P

Another thing that I found funny is that saving screenshots don't actually save your progress. I started Clemens Cave but then I had something else to do and since I wasn't far at all and had saved before, I shut my DS. But I had taken a cool screenshot during that short and I was surprised to see that later when I went to check the wall in my house, the screenshot was there. So it was like I'd never been in Clemes but I had a screen of it.
