I just dun understand what happened to the hero of RF1.

who knows, they figured they were tired of having him have no memory... i dunno.

Maybe he's dead. We don't know how long after the first RF this takes place. Or maybe this game takes place in a different land. Maybe this game takes place before the first hero was born. The possibilities are endless, but it's pointless to worry about it now. Most RPGs don't repeat the same heroes anyway.
