Eh...? I play Phoenix Wright on the bus all the time, and I have never had to use the mic once.. You can play Phoenix Wright with the D-pad or the touch screen or the mic. With it I use the D-pad 90% of the time. I only use the touch screen when pointing out stuff with the stylus is easier than with the D-pad.
..So, I can't see why you can't play Phoenix Wright on the bus
