Not too excited about the controls.

Actually, let me rephrase that. I'm dreading the controls for this game. From what I've heard, you use the stylus to move about, like Animal Crossing: WW. What was wrong with the old tried-and-true method?

I know.
D:
Ever since I heard of that I was sort of dreading it too.
I wish they could have at least gave you an option in how you use the controls in the game.

Agreed...
This game is starting to sound like AC: WW.

except in AC: WW, you did have an option for controls. but if this is how the game is played, i may have second thoughts.

It is very easy to control. At first I was like "Oh, this is lame." But after you get used to it, it is very easy. I wish Rune Factory had these controls.

I love the game, but I don't really like the controls. But yes, once you get used to them, it's fine. I just want to know how you put something away. Like if you are holding say, pet food, how do you unequip it? I know if you touch it and move the stylus down, your character puts it in his rucksack, but I don't want to do that. I just want to unequip it.

I don't see what's the problem. People complained about Phantom Hour Glass using only stylus controls, but once they're played the game, it turned out to be awesome.

Yea, when I first got the game I wasn't too thrilled with the controls either. They can be rather...clumsy, at first. But you get used to them, and after a while they become second nature, so it does get easier. However, I do agree that I still would've liked to have seen the old style D-pad controls...

Harvest Moon DS was hard on my touch screen because of the touch glove. Given the choice, I'd rather have a DS game that made minimum use of the touch screen. I really don't understand why Nintendo is trying to force the issue like this, especially since most players are used to the d-pad and analog sticks for moving their characters. One can only hope that using the touch screen exclusively for movement will be a short-lived fad. It won't stop me from buying a game I really want, but it will certainly make me stop to think about it.

Well, at least in this one, there's no time limit during the petting game.

Exactly.
If HMI uses the mic, I'll PWN Natsume. That's why I can't buy Phoenix Wright: I play 75% of my games on the bus, and the mic is such a huge part. 7_7

Yea, the only time the mic is involve with Kimishima is when you're using Wi-Fi, but even then I don't think it's used all that extensively.

Yeah I think it's for comparing farm ranks with other people, but I can't find my rank. It may be right in front of my face, but I don't know cause I can't read Japanese...
