When trying to catch King Fish, is it just random that you get one, or do you have to be REALLY quick at pulling the line in? (Like doing it EXACTLY when the appears over your character's head) And for the squid, the Wiki doesn't say anything about throwing a small fish in the water first. Do you not have to do that in this game

It is random, and you can catch a King more than once (although you never get to keep it).

You don't have to throw in a small fish in this version.
