Seeds are just..dissapearing?

why? Its spring, I water my seeds everyday, except for when it is raining, but they never grow..and eventually they just disappear..is there like a fertilizer I'm supposed to buy? it6 wasn't like that earlier...

oh, they are pototoes, just for interest.

it's been a long time ago since i last played kimishima...so i might be wrong, but the number of sunlight and water influence your crops growth in this game, some crops need to be watered every day, some every 2 days, and so and so

in potato case, it needs 3p in water and 3p in sun
sunlight: bright sun gives 3p, sunny 1p, cloudy 0p, greenhouse 1p
water needs: rain gives 2p, water via sprinkle/can 1p, typhoon 3p
