Pierre's house glitch confirmation/questions

I've read around that walking into Pierre's house causes problems. However, different problems/answers were given.

-Your game freezes
-You get stuck in the house unless you reset the game (as in turning on and off)
-Everything is messed up, but when you leave the house things are fine again
-Everything gets messed up even when you manage to leave the house again.
-Item loss.

So which are true and can explanations be given? I also want to know if I should never walk into Pierre's house if that's the case. If I shouldn't that's a shame because if I remember correctly you can get a recipe from inside his house...

The glitch occurs because of the following;
Pierres house was sopposed to upgrade but they axed the idea. But they forgot to remove the coding that upgrades his house. So when the conditions are reached, it upgrades into the white room. The next day it reverts to normal.

The correct answer is;
-Everything is messed up, but when you leave the house things are fine again
