I have a question, and I'm sorry if it's already been answered in this thread. I'm trying to stay away from a lot of walkthroughs and stuff because I don't want to ruin anymore of it for myself than I already have.

My question is: How do you get past the barriers in the caves? And what are the stone statue looking things? I know that I should be able to figure this out on my own, and when I receive the answer, I know I'll feel dumb but I just can't take it anymore.

Anyways, to propose to the girls, you need to have them at 10 FP/LP and to haev completed all of their requests. Then, through one of their quests you will be given a proposal item.

Proposal Items:
Alicia- Crystal Ball. Found in Pandova Mountains through her last quest.

Cecilia- Round Stone. Ceci will give this to you when you have her at about 8 or 9 LP. Give it to her when her last quest of the first gen appears that requires you to go to the Messhina Valley.

Dorothy- Pendant of Blessings. To get this, you have to have Gordon at 3 or 4 FP and have completed Dorothy's 9 LP request.

Mana- Engagement Ring. Mana will ask you for this in none of her quests.
Douglas has to be at about 3 or 4 LP. Once he is, go to the Message Board. His request involves you to kill a large orc. Once you defeat it, you will be granted with the ring.

Julia- Momento Ring. You must find a piece of Messhlight Ore in the Messhina Valley for Julia in this event. Bring it to Yue alongside 10,000 gold in order to have it made.

Roslaind- 100 Rose Bouquet. One you have Rosalind at 10 LP/FP, go to Max in his room at the following times:

Monday: Max will be in his room at 5:00 pm +
Tuesday: 9:00 pm +
Wednesday: 3:00 pm +
Thursday: 5:00 pm +
Friday: 3:00 pm +
Holiday: 5:00 pm +

Max will then ask of you to bring him 9 tomatos in a stack and in return, he'll give you the roses. Once you have that settled you can propse to Rosalind.

Yue- Yue Swap ticket. Once you talk to Yue, she will ask you to meet her on the Blessia Island Port the following day. Yue will ask you a question with two options. Either way, you still receive the ticket. Once you have her at ten hearts, you can give it to her in exchange for her hand in marraige. XD

Alright, so when you get those items, all you do is just give them the item to propose?

Is it possible to see all their quests, get all their items, everything, and then just propose to the one I want? For instance, I think I might go for Mana, but I like playing the field and so I'd like to get all their LP up and see all their events and whatnot. I know in RF1 when I got the stones, like the Lapiz for Lara and the white stone for Rosetta, I just needed to give them to the people to propose, although I could just keep them in my shelving the entire time and never do so. Can I do that for this game as well? Collect all the little stuff and just hide them in my shelving unit?

Is it possible to sell any of them? Like could I sell the crystal ball since I don't want to marry Alicia? Will her FP/LP go down (yeah, I know, they all go down anyways when I get to gen2, but it makes me feel better when they all like me)? Will I get money? Is there no point?

I just don't want to accidentally marry the wrong one. x-x

Also, Ceci's last quest is compulsory, meaning you HAVE to marry her in order to complete it. Pretty annoying, if you're going for a perfect quest record.

And an interesting fact is that you can give the proposal items back to the respective girl after you marry the one you want, and they'll say something related to the item. It might be slightly comical (Rosalind's case).

Haha, I've determined playing the field is much much fun in HM. =D

So, I CAN'T do Ceci's quest unless I want to marry her? Which I don't. :/ RATS. The quests are fun, I like doing perfect quest record.

Although, I'm reading a walkthrough, one of the ones on here, and this it what it says:

Arrive: When Cecilia have 10 FP or 10 LP (?).
How to do: Go to Messina Valley (North of area 5). Give the Round Stone for Cecilia. If you choice first option, you will confess her and auto marriage in next day. If you choice second option, you can keep the stone can confess late.
Reward: Marriage or Round Stone .

It says I can just keep the stone afterwards and give it to her later. Will her FP/LP just go down if I do that?

Or should I just wait and reload and stuff to see what happens? XD

Actually, for all the girls, you get the option for turning them down and keeping the item, but for Ceci, her request NEVER disappears from the board no matter how many times you go to give he the stone and then turn her down. -_-; it obviously disappears after you marry someone else, but it won't appear on the "completed list". But don't worry, everyone knows about this now, so you might as well count your quest record as 100% still. And also, the quest record carries over to 2nd gen, so you can stare at all 119 of them ..

theres 95 quests in 2nd gen, btw. The bulk of it is Tanya's.
