translating question.

what does a video game company really go thru when making the game for american audiences?

really, all i can think of is translating the dialogue into english, which i can't imagine takes over a year!

They check grammar, bugs, think of names and such.
But most companies take long, not for the reason of it being difficult, but because they need take intervals between releases so they can make more money, it's kind of "waiting until we sell XXXXX games" so they get more money, it's a camplicated issue, I'll try to explain more.

If they release all the games at once, people are going to chose one over the other instead of buying all games.

Or something like that, my uncle used to work in a videogame company and my memory is kind of blurry right now :3

First they have to crack the game's data so they can extract and insert data ( the original company sometimes helps with this )
Then they have to translate it and insert the text
then they have to check grammar and bugs
