Import Japanese RF2 or Wait For English Version?

Covering Innocent Life (PsP/Ps2), Rune Factory 1 (DS), Rune Factory 2 (DS), Rune Factory 3 (DS/Switch), Rune Factory Frontier (Wii), Rune Factory Tides of Destiny (Wii/Ps3), Rune Factory 4 (3DS/Switch/Steam), and Rune Factory 5 (Switch/Steam).

I was wondering what people's thoughts were on RF2.

Is it worth buying an import version or would you rather wait til the English version is available. Is there a translated script out there somewhere or do you guys who own the import do the translating or know how to read the language?

I am personally debating getting me an import, but I can only read Katakana and Hiragana, no Kanji for me yet >.<

Also, are there many glitches in the Japanese one?

I have to import Rune Factory 1 first, then, by the time I finish, number 2 should be out. =D

if you can't read japanese, prepare for a hard first few days. Once you memorise the place names and peoples names it's not all that hard ( you can normally tell what the quest is asking you to do from the names )

If I could afford Rosetta Stone, I'd buy that and RF2 and probably know enough Japanese to play it before Natsume is done translating =P
Looking at previous releases, it will take about a year for them to release the NA version *cries* :(

What are those two games about? Are they for the DS or a console system?

They are both Harvest Moon games; Tree is for the Wii and Island is for DS.

Well Island of Happiness is harvest moon for the ds the story is you and 4 other people are stranded on an island you have to start a farm and get people to move to the island, you can get a total of 100 people for more information here is a site http://www.fogu.com/hmforum/viewtopic.php?t=44331

Tree of Tranquility is Harvest Moon for the wii http://www.fogu.com/hm/wii/ that is more information on it although the character art is bad

I desperately want to import, but I only have knowledge of hiragana and katakana, and only a few kanji. I'm nearly finished with the first one (yes, I know I'm slow), and I'd rather not wait (I'm really impatient). I haven't actually had much trouble understanding what the writing says on several of the screen caps other users have posted (from RF2, I mean) aside from some of the kanji. I'm honestly not sure about my decision yet, but I'm guessing it's a good idea to have some knowledge of the language, or have some guides around (which there are several of on this forum now). So yeah. :)

i know 1% of jap. maybe less xp (i can recognize some kanji symbols) but other than that i just memorize symbols and look for distinct symbols to help if i forget what it looked like (took me the first 2 days to figures all this out) i say the jap. version isn't all that hard... just a little dificult.... :?
