Import Japanese RF2 or Wait For English Version?

I was wondering what people's thoughts were on RF2.
Is it worth buying an import version or would you rather wait til the English version is available. Is there a translated script out there somewhere or do you guys who own the import do the translating or know how to read the language?
I am personally debating getting me an import, but I can only read Katakana and Hiragana, no Kanji for me yet >.<
Also, are there many glitches in the Japanese one?

if you can't read japanese, prepare for a hard first few days. Once you memorise the place names and peoples names it's not all that hard ( you can normally tell what the quest is asking you to do from the names )Eeto... wrote:I was wondering what people's thoughts were on RF2.

They are both Harvest Moon games; Tree is for the Wii and Island is for DS.Eeto wrote:What are those two games about? Are they for the DS or a console system?Personally I would wait only because I can't read Japanese stuff and plus Island of happiness and Tree of Tranquility are coming out soon that should keep me entertained till rune factory 2 comes out!

I desperately want to import, but I only have knowledge of hiragana and katakana, and only a few kanji. I'm nearly finished with the first one (yes, I know I'm slow), and I'd rather not wait (I'm really impatient). I haven't actually had much trouble understanding what the writing says on several of the screen caps other users have posted (from RF2, I mean) aside from some of the kanji. I'm honestly not sure about my decision yet, but I'm guessing it's a good idea to have some knowledge of the language, or have some guides around (which there are several of on this forum now). So yeah.
i know 1% of jap. maybe less xp (i can recognize some kanji symbols) but other than that i just memorize symbols and look for distinct symbols to help if i forget what it looked like (took me the first 2 days to figures all this out) i say the jap. version isn't all that hard... just a little dificult....
