Stone vs Wood

What is stone used for? I can't figure it out with my limited translating abilities :p.

It is the same system as HMDS. The stronger the material, the less chance of collapse.

If he does accept stone then I have no idea how to get him to, I've tried various options and he keeps saying I don't have enough material unless I bring wood. Please help.

If i remember correctly
Stone can only be used on certain buildings.

stone.. well i use them for fences cuz they have stronger stability and they dont rot as easily as wood... wood like dies the day after u put it on the field. mainly wood is for building houses and stuff. dunno if you can use stone on houses. ive never seen it.
