I simply keep my livestock sorted by cave. My first hut contains 4 hornets for honey, my second hut contains 4 woolly for cotton, etc. Just catch them in this order, as there is no need to go out and collect all the different monsters you can from the beginning. Now you need only really feed these monsters, as most monsters, other than your steed, livestock, and battle buddy, are useless to waste time or money on.

Yes, but then their FP drops and they don't give as good items.
