How do Light and Water points work?

ive tried reading the japnese on wiki but it still doesn't make any sense. how do you know how much water to give on each day? per say its a cloudy day, how much water do you give it?

Also how do you calcualate the sun points too... its too confusing...

I water my plants twice a day...
I just hope I can get my eggplants to grow in this, they would never grow for me in KimiShima...

well the thing is that if u watered it too much it would die. also, i think its that fact that there wasn't a lot of sun points... whatever that means

I have done an experiment regarding to this topic.
I give you an example for the water point,
In the description sweet potato need less water.

Day 1
I have 5 of 9x9 field of sweet potato let's mark it A B C D E (Same condition and when you harvest you get "B-rank"). All of it was ready to harvest, so i harvested them except field D and field E. Then i watered A(2x) B(1x) C(none) D(none) E(none)

Day 2
I harvested D field i got "B-rank" sweet potato. Next I watered A(2x) B(1x) C(1x) D(retired) E(none)

Day 3
Now let me explain the field status on 3 th day.
Field A - Died
Field B - Harvest time
Field C - Harvest time
Field D - err... no need to explain. RETIRED
Field E - Harvest time (since day 1)

When I harvest Field B, i got B-rank of sweet potatoes while on Field C, I got A rank of sweet potatoes. When I harvest Field E, Surprisingly it changed to A rank unlike field D.

In conclusion probably each crops has sun point and water point. So if you wanted to get A rank of crop you need to control your water point. For the sun point i don't think you have to pay attention to except you are after a S-rank crops (not confirmed, i haven't got S-rank crop my self). I hope that's helps. Sorry if you don't understand my bad english, i find a difficulties myself explaining those things ><.

it does help a lil but it still is a bit confusing... T-T im not sure how to experiment. i did it with turnips but it didnt turn out the way i thought it would
