Money making help

Can anyone give me some tips on making money?
It's winter now and I only have 5k. I'm really struggling...

If you have the mine, then you should try going mining. If not, you should try to buy a fishing rod early on to go fishing when you can.
I didnt bother trying to grow crops, because I find it a hasttle and I enjoy it a lot more once Im settled and I have my greenhouse.

Instead Ive been trying to focus on my chickens, and my income is starting to rise slowly. Im at the 2nd year Summer, middle size coop, 8 stalls with an incubator and 8 chickens (2 chicks)
My first chickens have around 5 hearts so I get a few B/A grade eggs.
