The condition of Home Stay Sprite system

I ้have read the sticky but I don't understand it all .how do I raise friendship with Sprite and condition of Home Stay Sprite system if I want to use them to help such as water plant and collected egg that're different from ordinary ,What can I do.

How do I increase number of H-Sprite and what field in H-spirite island do?

The Red Sprites can be found on various islands: WiFi, Pet Island & Festival Grounds.

For the other sprites, all I can glean is that you 'discover' more of them when you increase your friendship levels with a particular color sprite.
