I also agree.. quite frankly i find it more annoying seeing those posts saying "dont bump" than seeing posts replying to a 4+ day old topic.
They gave some information that may help someone try to get Van/Lou to come to their town and since im one of the people having trouble getting lou to come to my FOMT town, i would like to hear as much information about this as i can.

well i've e-mailed natsume many times. i'm very pissed off at them.. i had an old game chapter 2 in awl and i was in my fifth year in FoMT. i had to start both them over 'cause Van wasn't coughing up records. all natsume had to say was, "you haven't befriended van, keep giving him gifts" well obviously that was a lie, i gave him 3 gifts each time he came to town and 30+ gifts in FoMT. never sold me a record. on my new files, i already have all ten records, but no ruby. anybody know if cooking works? i heard multiple things, like you need to cook a recipe with ruby's spice in it, or, you need to talk to her before you link, or, she needs to be outta town when you link. i also e-mailed natsume about ruby, but i'm not expecting much.. since on they've told me befriending van and ruby are the key to the game, which is a lie.

Have you Tried Game FAQ's? They might have something on it. You might just be unlucky enough to have a fried Game..

i really doubt it for one reason. many people have this problem with linking, whether it be records, lou, or ruby. for example, i couldn't get teh records in my old save file in both fomt and awl. i started them over, now i have all ten. but still no ruby.
