He only comes in the Summer though. Although it is possible to get him to a blue in that time.

Well, it's impossible to marry him the first year. I managed to get him to a blue heart, and then by the next summer I had plenty of pineapples saved up, so with one of those every day plus heart events plus the Fireworks Festival, I was just barely able to get him to a red heart by Summer 30. So it's definitely possible to do it in the second year.

kai likes tomatoes and love points don't drop. Frienship points only drop when the're there and you ignore them.

I got him to a red heart by the end of the 4th year. Only because at the end of the 3rd year I had him very very close to a red heart, but couldn't get his heart points up in time. D;

i got him to red in the fourth year too. its not easy. unless you have pineapples.(which i didn't till year 3.) they take about 20 days to get to the first harvest by the way.(waaaaay to long if you're after Kai is ya ask me...)

3 Years after I saved up on Pineapples :]
I unlocked the secret garden thing at the end of year one, so it was quicker to grow them.

He's such a charmer! I just got through his purple heart event and it was adorable!

It's possible to marry Kai in the Summer of the second year. You just need all the other requirements, like the 60 sprites.

Did you check again the next day? I think when I was buying drinks at the bar to get the purple sprite, Muffy and Griffin's FP didn't go up at the time, but had made a big jump the day after.
Also remember that changing your clothes every day gives you an extra 200 points with all the bachelors who are currently in town (which means every day of the summer for Kai, or an extra 6000 points each year). I bought a basement in the winter of my first year and had it filled with pineapples by the first day of spring, so I'll have a steady supply all summer. I'm not really planning to marry him (still leaning toward Gray) but he's on the short list.
