I read somewhere that if you plant the blue autumn flowers (Moon Flower possibly or Magic flower) you might have one grow in red. But I can't remember why this was special or important. Does anyone know why I would want a red flower of this kind? (I can see I have two of them on my farm map...)

Sometimes you can get 2 or 3 red flowers. It is a rare chance, but it can happen.

-_-" That reminds me of the time when that person called herself stupid with two different usernames.. Anyways, about the red flower. It's used in the recipes to make the XL of the medicines, also Elli LOVES them, so if you're going after Elli, you're in luck.

Anyway, yes, as blue mentioned its used for the XL recipies. But! The chances of getting a red one in a bag is very rare. And after you pluck it from the ground, it doesn't grow back, so you might want to use the save before you plant trick. Save, then plant, and check your map.

I believe that there is a ten percent chance of getting one red amongst blues. So... if you plant ten times, one time you will get one red flower. Once out of every one hundred times you'll get two red.

not ALWAYS though. It's more like there will be a red flower in three bags. Anyways I planted 3 bags and got like 3 flowers. 2 were in one bag and one in another.

anyway, there is a trick to this, before you sow the seeds, save the game. After sowing the seed, open the map and you can see what colour the flowers are. If none are red, you can reload the game.

Under a ten percent chance of a red amongst blues (one red every ten blue plants), that means there will be not two reds among one hundred blues but ten reds among one hundred blues.
