I confessed to maltreating my animals and was forgiven. I came out and checked all my animals on the stats screen, but none had gone up any hearts (They have done before). However, the next thing I did was stop off at Yodel Ranch and Barley had changed his speech! So I tried going upstairs and... I could! The thing is, I havn't given Barley any gifts for about a month and I havn't been talking to him, or had any weird cut scenes with him. So can confessing to hurting your animals and being forgiven improve your friendship with Barley?! May was the same as normal.

well....as long as youre forgiven for anythin youve done, then all of the villagers will like you a little more....but i guess it might have a stronger effect on some of the villagers dependin on what you confessed to

Let me rephase it for BAP, you confessed for mistreating you animal. BUt instead of increasing their hears, you became good friends with barley. Hmm... regarding to that, I not too sure but I will go check it out. DOn't really confessed much...

I didn't know confessing actually did anything...
i just thought it was there for humor

I hate confessing to stuff I didn't do... Makes me feel guilty.

Anyone else out there suspect something similar to this has happened to them? Maby other confessions can have a similar effect on other charectors...

Actually, you were able to go upstairs at Barley's the whole time. You can go up there from the start. Try starting a new game and going up their to try it out. I guess he just likes you

If you are forgiven: People will like you more
If you are not forgiven: Nothing bad happens

i have. it is kinda funny

none of the confessions are extremely funny but the one that made me laugh was one in BTN where you could confess to turning off the game and restarting it if you lost at one of the festivals so you could try again.

nah, that one about loving the goddess in BTN was the funniest one. Carter admits to loving her too. haha
