>< I can't seem to post this html text properly. I did disable BBCode and turn on HTML. What's going wrong here? It only seems to be accepting the horizontal line html code, and none of the others. Should I just put it on the web and put a link here?

Look at it here for the time being:

http://home.tiscali.nl/teraiten/notsite ... blish.html

NOTE: I don't know if this is the right place for this... It applies to all forums, not just the HM4 one. It's not finished either, but I just posted what I have for the moment. I will edit it as I go on.

<h2>Introduction</h2>

<p>
<strong>If you are new here you must first read this text before posting (most importantly the <em>Tips and Advice</em> bit)</strong>
</p>

<p>
In this post you can find information about how things work here on the forum, and some advice. If you don't want to make people get angry at you, so they ignore you, you might want to read this. These rules and tips are more or less the same all ovr the internet. But some things are unique to this community.

<h2>Tips and Advice</h2>
<h3>Finding answers to your questions</h3>

<p>
Try the chatroom. Seriously. If there are people in there, they might know the answer and solve your problem in minutes. Just try it first. There are some serious Harvest Moon die-hards here, who know a great deal about the games. Even though most of the time we're not talking about Harvest Moon, feel free to intrude and ask, we don't mind.
</p>

<p>
Before asking a question related to Harvest Moon, you must look at Cher?s website first:
</p>

<p>
<a href="http://www.fogu.com/hm">http://www.fogu.com/hm</a>
</p>

<p>
Pick your game from the little boxes at the sides of the screen and try to find your answer there. Almost all questions asked here have the answer already sitting on that website.
</p>

<p>
Don't forget that there is also a <a href="http://www.fogu.com/hmforum/search.php">search option</a> here so you might find your answer using that. Please do try it first.
</p>

<h3>Asking a question</h3>

<p>
Okay, so you didn't find your answer. Now you can ask it :)
</p>

<p>
The members here all help you on a voluntary basis. This means is that you cannot demand anything from anyone. We're very willing to help you out, but it might take a short while before you have the answer you are looking for.
</p>

<p>
To get your answer quickly:
</p>

<ul type="circle">
<li> Be patient (don't post the question again, unless it's been about four days and you haven't had a reply yet)</li>
<li> Make your Subject/Post clear. This makes it clear for all of us what it's about and if we understand you properly, we understand your problem properly too :)</li>
<li> Don't double post (Do not post something more than once, such as on more than one forum).</li>
<li> If you see that you've made a mistake, edit your post instead of posting a new message. There is an edit button on the top right of all your messages.</li>
<li> Do not ask people in person for a solution (using email, instant messenger, private message, etc.) unless they say you can. </li>
</ul>

<h2>Life on the Farm, erm, Forum :)</h2>
<p>
Here I will explain how things work here, and give you some simple rules you should follow if you don't want everybody to get angry at you. These rules apply to both the forum and the chat room.
</p>

<h3>What you <em>should</em> and <em>should not</em> do</h3>

<ul type="circle">
<li> Do not take the this place too seriously. Especially the Back Fence and the chat room. It's not real life. Just be nice to each other. </li>
<li> If you have something personal to say to someone, posting a message in the forum may not be a good idea. Please send them a private message.</li>
<li> Do not advertise a website again and again. If no-one is interested this may not be the place to advertise. If no-one replies, ask them if they've taken a look at the site yet.</li>
<li> Please try not to talk about religious or political subjects. It will turn into a fight. It has happened before and will happen again. Please go to a different forum or chatroom for discussion on these subjects. This place is mainly for Harvest Moon.</li>
<li> Be nice to the new people (newbies, n00bz). Everybody has to be a newbie once. You might want to point them to this FAQ first.</li>
<li> Do not forget this forum has <a href="http://www.fogu.com/hmforum/faq.php">it's own help system</a>. </li>
</ul>

<h3>Words of wisdom :p</h3>

<ul type="circle">
<li> If you don't like it here, go somewhere else. Seriously. There are millions of forums on the internet, and there is sure to be one you will like. Don't be stubborn towards yourself. There are more fun things to do, right?</li>
<li> Be friendly. If you are a total @$%!# you won't be liked. Duh.</li>
<li> If you have nothing to say, don't say anything! No-one says you must post.</li>
<li> Fights are best left alone. If you see a fight going on, please do not take part in it. The only way for a fight to stop is if we all stop taking part in it. Some people are just complete @$%!# and should be left alone. That way, they won't get anywhere with their fights and they'll stop doing it.</li>
<li> Have fun. If you're not having fun why are you here then? Really. Go do something more fun then. </li>
</ul>

<h3>Rules</h3>

<p>
These are the official rules. You must follow them.
</p>

<ul type="circle">
<li> Never talk about the [b]Very Bad Thing™[/b] for any of the games. This forum may not be used to help people find the [b]Very Bad Thing™[/b], because that can make people shut this forum down. We don't want that.</li>
<li> No personal attacks or flames. As a preventive measure, please take your religious and/or political discussions to a forum which does allow these subjects.</li>
<li> No offensive racial or sexist remarks.</li>
<li> No:
<ul type="circle">
<li>Advertisements</li>
<li>Cross posts (posting the same message more than once on different forums)</li>
<li>Messages posted repeatedly. </li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
