I find it sort of ironic that the best friend system was removed from the English version to begin with and left in the Japanese version. I figured America was more lenient toward same-« Chicken Hugging » marriage or just the 'idea' [considering they never flat out said it was a same-« Chicken Hugging » marriage option] of it in general than Japan would.

I bet if someone wrote a letter to the gay/lesbian/transsexual/straight alliance group, some sort of uproar about it would start and a new version of the game would be released with the feature put back in.

Or maybe Japan figures that American kids are too young and immature to take the option seriously and just be all 'eeww' about it. I'm only saying that because of the countless threads I've seen about the term 'crossdresser' being used in the wrong context when talking about Skye. Haha~
