Harvest Moon SNES was published in the US in 1997 {1996 in Japan}, and is the first Harvest Moon that was ever made.
@fancytikichampion: In the SNES the max amount of kids you could have was 2. I wonder why Natsume never decided to take that feature and use it in their future Harvest Moon games... (●´・△・`)

I don't think in AWL: Special Edition you could have more than one child, but I do know the child you do have grows up and chooses a profession based on how you raise it.
I can't remember the GBC 3 version. I'm sure I have it, somewhere, but it's been so long since I've played it, I can't remember whether you can or not. XD;
