I gave it a 4/5. It's good, I like it a lot, but I feel like the developers could have gone a little further with the game itself. I understand that the game is pretty much just like HMDS but without so many glitches, however I wish they would have made it a tad different. Perhaps keep the same basic storyline [though they did change it up a bit and made it shorter], but change some other aspects to make it not feel so much like HMDS.
It's okay. The artwork is good--I recognize that even though I HATE cute things. The town and townspeople are a little complex, which in itself is both more confusing and more realistic, so points for and against there. It is consistent in its cuteness, and I guess it should get extra points for that.
As for the interface... The only games I have to compare them to (on DS) are Rune Factory and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Compared to RF, the interface was better, but compared to Zelda, it's like playing on a spider's web. Your fingers get all tangled up if you try to do more than one thing at one time. I constantly find myself holding the DS sideways and pressing two buttons right next to each other with my thumb and index finger, which makes it awkward for the other three fingers to support the game. The uses for the L and R buttons should be reversed, and running should be reassigned to the R button so that you can mess with your items on the go. Using tools like the axe and sword might be better off reassigned to the B button (which seems to be a popular choice with a lot of the other DS games out there, including Rune Factory and Zelda, and doesn't have you accidentally running over other buttons to get to it).
If it were all about the interface, I'd give it a 1. But since I don't have much to compare it to, 3/5.

3.5/5
It's good, but it has some draw backs.. I'm an animal lover and usually max out my chicken coops and barns the first chance that I get.. However this is the first game in the series in which I willingly sold off a good portion of my animals , and not because I needed the money.. Nope, it was because the damn touch-screen games were putting dents in my screen and I needed to reduce how many times I attacked the damn thing with the stylus...
I also agree that things get rather boring after you get married...
