Nope, you can't do anything with it. Just put it in the cabinet.
You actually acquired that legally, by playing the game? That's impossible... I had to use save states - not quite cheating, but close enough.

Nah, because you can throw her book down and it will disappear like any other item, and you can get more than one of them.
