Are you talking about when you catch it or in your fish list? It looks like whatever it is when you catch it (ie - the squid looks like a squid) and in the fish list it looks like a framed picture of the fish.

It doesnt go to your inventory either, it just pauses for a sec like when u pick up a power berry or new tool.

after you catch it, you throw it back in the water....you dont get to keep it .......but if you look at your fish menu (press select and go left a few times) you will see a crappy picture of the river king....(betcha jack drew it by himself )
