I think fluffy and wooly names are really cliche, so I try to stick to cute people or character names. My current two sheep are named Elmo (due to lack of creativity) and Sherri (after my manager at work, hahaha). Most names that end in an 'ee' sound are cute enough for my sheepy names, and my next sheep will probably be Jeannie, who is another manager... They come to me fairly randomly.

For a sheep? Chirin.
+cookies to anyone who knows what it's a reference to.
Usually I just name my animals after things like music I listen to, or characters/references from movies. Like Mugatu, Gir, and Wawwy.. >.>

I named my sheep Ellie, Daisy, Annie, and Cara. I always like to give my animals human names because I have a problem with creativity.

I had a friend once who named all of their chickens One, Two, Three, Four...ect. I think even the most common and unoriginal names are at least slightly better than just numbering the animals off, haha. Mine are Posey and Snoop, but coming up with names is usually more exhausting than pleasant.

That actually sounds like a pretty good idea for when you're going for the 20 chickens/ducks sprite or the 15 animal births sprite.

Haha, So I'm not alone in naming my animals after STDs! =]
I am asking for name help, yes, but I am also asking what other's named their sheep. So yes, it's a help topic, but also a sharing topic.
If you want to keep pointing out what's against the rules, have fun with all the "Who should I marry" topics on the DS board.
