do you need to see all the rival events so they can be married? what happen if you miss one?

You can't miss one of the rival event they just happen and they get married after four of them.

if you don't see all 4 events, then they will marry without inviting you. You might walk into their wedding, but they won't send an invitation. Have you checked Cher's site for the Doctor's events?
