Cute is 10x better.
Even though there is more Special people to marry in DS, in Cute, you actually get to live with your Mineral husband...which means, excluding the Mineral girls (because you can't live with them and have a kid so they don't really count) and adding the 4 special girls you get...:
HMDS: 9 people to marry and continue your game with
Cute: 11 people ^
Yay for more marrigeable continuation!
Besides, no file corruption and getting 2 styles of girls is great too.
