Add customization up the wazoo for the PC (Change the hair, change the skin, the eyes, the CLOTHES ffs...), and bring back some of the older festivals (Dancing!)

Oh, that reminds me:
Bring back the swimming, dancing, music, and horse racing festivals. I missed having the music festival especially in Cute.
Also be able to marry Daryl instead of Carter and have Flora marry Daryl instead of Carter. For her sake. Plus I like Daryl.

I'd make the text smaller so that the game developers could fit in more statements longer than one or two sentences.

That's the one thing that sucks about harvest moon and it's been in ALL THE FREAKIN GAMES.

They should also make it you can swim, go on dates or like have boyfriend (I mean seriously, it's like I meet this guy IRL and then all sudden he brings out the wedding ring and proposes and it's like we haven't even dated and you already wanna marry.), have enemies with enemie dialouge like "Piss off! I don't like you okay, you wanna start something? Huh huH? Bring it bech!"
and they react when you hit em with something, like in Animal Crossing. >:D Revenge is the sweetest thang.

In N64 version there was a swimming festival, you would head to the beach and the mayor would tell you the prize and the rules.
Also in N64 version dancing happened at a lot of festivals, the Harvest Festival, the Goddess Festival, and might have been at the Sowing Festival.
BtN had Dancing and Swimming.

Also I would add some minor changes
1. I would make it so you could have as many barns/coops that you needed.
2. I would make it so when you throw something in the goddess pond(when she's there) she would heal your hp by 30 stamina.
3. I would make water count towards the drinking at the bar sprites.
4. I would make it so Barney and Mimi had a little boy and a little girl your child could marry(No more Kate).
5. I would change Kate's additude towards everyone and make her sweet.
6. I would add the goddess festival and the swimming festival in.
7. I would fix the glitch so you can actually participate in the cooking festival every year with a different recipe.
Oh and the vegetable festival
