You don't have to be friends with Tim. Tim has nothing to do with the event. I've never given him gifts and still got the event.

I was only stating some proof that Tim does not need to be befriended to obtain Ruby Spice. If he already bestows the Hoe upon you, well then he couldn't be needed for another item giveaway, now would he?

Well I didn't think it was so far-fetched to have to be friends with her husband in order to get the event. Thanks for clarifying though.
