For the boy version, definately the Harvest Goddess. The Witch Princess is a close second.
For the girl version, probably Cliff, since he is a Mineral Town guy and his favorite item is hard to make. But I have never played MFoMT, yet. I will soon after I beat DS Cute. -_- Still deciding on who to marry.

Yeah, I was going to also, but then I finally convinced myself that Skye was just like Cliff but with more self confidence and better looks! They both love supreme curry after all!
