I gave Ellen yarn..and she didnt make me a sock..im good friends with her...by the way..

You have to do it between 9 AM and 11 AM between Winter 1st and Winter 23rd - and make sure you're really good friends with her.

For this event to happen, be sure to talk to Ellen everyday and bring her something she likes, like spa-boiled eggs and milk. Before the Stocking Festival, try giving her yarn. Save your game before you give her the yarn 'cause if she doesn't offer to make you a sock, you should reload and try again some other time. Give her a spa-boiled egg instead. If you have yarn to spare, give her yarn a few times. I gave her 3 small yarn balls before she offered to make a sock for me, so be patient. Good luck

I just gave her a flower or two every day, and one ball of yarn at the correct time, and she knitted me the sock.

Yep, which is why I planned ahead, and had that sock right at the beginning of Winter (well, plus I've got 99 of every type of flower in my cabinet...

).

How would you get 99 of every flower if you give 1 or 2 away to Ellen everyday? Do you just give all the flowers to Ellen and not the other girls? And when did you get the all the logs to make extensions and a cabinet the first year to store all those flowers in time? It's really not that hard, spa-boiled eggs or chocolates work just the same and you wouldn't have to waste time gathering flowers or even buying seeds from Won to plant flowers if that's the case. But whatever works.....................

No, I didn't get the stocking my first year - it was my second year. And it wouldn't be that hard to have the cabinet and a lot of flowers by Winter of the 1st year...

I guess it's possible, but I really spent most of the time the first year to get the farm back on its feet. Ellen made a sock for me the first year on my first game, but that was when I was trying to do everything all at once and marry the Goddess. Now it's better 'cause I just play the game without any pressure (and I married Poppy), and it's actually more fun.
