Yeah food's hard to get. Even when you end up finding a lot of things to eat you don't want to eat them because they're each worth 10 G or more and money's so hard to come by...
The herbs you can find are great, but the greatest thing I can recommend is the fishing rod. You can eat fish, feed them to your dog, give them as gifts, or sell them for a lot of money. If you just want fish to eat, fish around the bridge, in the spring, or in the swamp. If you want good fish to sell, fish under the waterfall. Fishing's the only thing getting me through this game.
the best thing to do is to eat the wild grass you find in the wild......theres at least 3 things you can pick in the wild that grow back everyday.....save a few for food and sell anything that maybe worth money
Yeah, there's even a few wild grass-type things growing on your farm, near the cultivated land.
Money's not so hard to make, especially if the cow gives five or six things of milk every day. Just four more days and I can go back to playing....*reaches*
I guess it just seems like it's harder to make money in AWL because everything is worth so little, at least compared to what stuff was worth in FoMT and other Harvest Moon games. But I guess there's not too much stuff to buy anyway...
