Hey, at least you attempted to create a name unlike me sometimes. I just use the default name, unless I planned to use Japanese names or my english nicknames.

On my first play through, I used Markus, after one of my characters. He's a tragic wanderer, so it seemed fitting.

The second time, however, I named him Gwain, which is derived from one of the Arthurian legends, because of a class I'm taking.

yea me too i named him Raguna but when i named him i just clicked random buttons. ( hee hee it was fun ) Im kinda mad at myself now..... i got boared with that name and started a new file.
didn't play tha other fiel fer a month then my little sister (age 12)asked if she could play and i said yes but i didn't tell her she had to be a boy or that she might get mereied yea mom lost it on me {my mom dosent like video gemes] heres what she said:HOW DARE YOU BRAINWASH YOUR Own SISTER WITH THESE EVIL VIDEO GAMES! My first name was Tiaestu but my little sister(age 6) erased that game and i made another one and namemed him Tenshi.

I also used Reguna. I guess because he talks (unlike a lot of harvest moon games) I kinda felt like he was his own character so he should keep his name.

Heath, Butter Knife(If it lets you), Crayon, Chocolate, Anise, and Milk Tea(again, if it lets you).

Or I use music terms like...
Leggiero, Molto, Dolce, Allegro, Subito, Scherzando, Fortissimo

More recently I use...
Orenji-Kun, Killer Loli, モンスターカード!(in Japanese Games I play), Heman, USODA, and Anago-Moe

My favorite for Male protagonists is Orenji-Kun while Females (in this case, not in Rune Factory) Killer Loli.

Buuuuuuut I keep the original names the first play through (though occasionally change some), THEN I mess around with the names just for fun.

It's so evil, it should be banned.
