i know in other games it was 1 month

so i loved the gaemboy advance harvest moon game, but the ds version just went soooo fast! i gave up 'cause i couldn't gat anything done in a day. i mean i wanted them to speed it up but... anyway i absolutely love runefactory. they took the other harvest moons, anime'd it up, got rid of all the « Puppy Doodoo » you hated in the other games and made it interesting. so these are my question: will i like this harvest moon island of happiness, or will it be as tedious as i found the ds version? and has playing rune factory spoiled me for any other harvest moon game?

It's very similar to the DS version, but more complicated/challenging. As for the tedious...ness, it's similar in those aspects. It's still farming/mining/fishing/etc. like HMDS. So it really depends on what you didn't like about HMDS as to if you'd like IoH.

How do you, "set the hook" on your fishing rod? I can fish fine, until you get to that point. I click on everything I can, the fishing rod, my person, and can't figure out how to reel in a fish. x__x

What I do is use the D-pad or the ABXY buttons. Say I have the fishing rod set on the left (where the Y button would be). I just press the left or Y button and the character uses the fishing rod. Then press it again when he gets the

over his head.

Beside all the obvious, is that any other way to boost up my cow's affection? It's almost takes forever(not that I think it's a instant thing), same with the dog. I got the dog and horse around the same time and yet, my horse has more hearts. O:

I hope in my 3rd year I can win the horse and chicken festivals, so I can finally get some wonderfuls(if I can't get them during the winter).

Other than brushing, talking and feeding?
Let it outside to graze if you have grown grass.
Get L Milk when playing the milking minigame.
Pet it when you can.
There is nothing else, I'm afraid.
