I agree about being polite when they send in complaints. Nothing is going to come out of any of us « Baaaa *glomp* » at Natsume. They'll probably ignore it anyway. However, I do think its worth a shot to tell them and try to talk them into fixing it because that really is just ridiculous. It takes away the opportunity to marry a bachelor and it also ruins his request event, confessional scene, proposal, wedding, and child events. If you think about it that way, that's like half of the storyline for someone who sincerely wants to marry Calvin D:

But this is Natsume we're talking about. They didn't do anything to fix those massive bugs from HM DS, well more importantly they didn't fix the ability to marry two of the special girls which was just....« Snuggly Bunny ».
But since we've apparently got Freyashawk on our sides, I hope they will do something about this. If any of us wanted 100% completion on all the events to be seen in ToT, we would not be able to (well, girls at least!) But still. I personally wanted to do every bachelors request event and now I cannot and many others can't either.

I'd also like to e-mail Natsume myself. They had all of this time to fix this bug and they didn't =\ They did so well with IoH, I can't even say I've heard of a dangerous glitch in that at all...so I'm also thoroughly upset with this glitch x_x

Well the thing that worries me is that this glitch may screw up the rest of the game...

You need to get the second seedling from Calvin on the 10th floor, I don't know if you can do that if you can never get past the request event or if it will take priority over the request event, meaning you could never truly beat the game if it didn't take priority.

And that is why we may need to inform/annoying/bug Natsume and have them make new copies.

I don't know if that is the case at all but it worries me...

But...what if you never initiate his request event? Then he wouldn't be on the 10th floor to make your game freeze up in the first place, right? D;

Well technically you'd still be able to do that but in the process you'd have to make Cliff hate you enough that he's under 5 hearts.

well, if that needed event didn't take precedence, then there is always lowering his heart rate... right?


let's just hope that the other event isn't glitched, as well. D:

WAIT I JUST HAD AN IDEA.

What if you DID make it so he was trying to do his event still. But the seedling quest is right behind it. MAYBE the game wont glitch up since the story-related quest is trying to make it through. Or maybe it will skip calvin's and go straight to the story related thing. I dont know, its risky to try but yea.. you could save right before calvin gets his heart to whatever number he needs and test it?

Well I'm still testing things, hopefully it won't take me too long if I get started now...

Please tell me that you've figured something out to work around this. If you don't initiate the request event and get around to the 6 heart event, can you possibly get Calvin to marriage proposal?
Calvin was like, the one bachelor that I was waiting on before making my final decision. I can't believe there is a glitch of this magnitude in the game.

I do feel the need to chime in though, as a previous Customer Service Rep., screaming, profanities and drama will quickly get you ignored. Don't bother getting in contact until you've thought the issue through and are able to make a valid, reasonable argument. Otherwise you're liable to be completely written off.
Also, if at first you get an uncaring individual, call-call-call again.

The email I sent them was more than polite... I'm well aware that « Baaaa *glomp* » at someone will get you no where.... but literally Calvin was the reason I really bought this game and it is literally false advertisement and that pisses me off.

Something needs to be done. I will not let this go.

Nobody is saying that you should let it go, afterall it is a major problem that should have been caught. However aside from sending them emails there isn't much you really can do at the moment. =( I'm sure your and everyone else's persistence will get them to at least attempt to fix the problem though.

I bet if a bunch of people send in complaints they'll do it. Where's the email you have to use? I'll send in my (polite) two-bits.

Hmmm... Should I say how disgruntled the Ushi community is? And send them a link of our complaints? I'm including on how all the Calvin fans are sad that they can't marry him without their game freezing, or how you can't complete the game without the sapling he gives you.

I think that would be wise, as it would accurately show that it's not an isolated problem.
