Well unfortunatley, that is what Customer Service is for, to get those and then pass them up to the 'Powers that be'....lol. I have worked in a business for over 30 years and I know customer service has to have hard skin as they will get all problems. But that is there job to deal with them.

I agree that spending this kind of money, as wii games are more expensive and to buy a product of any kind that is not 100% a good product is just not right and they should know about it.

Whether it will do any good or not. But ya never know.

Unfortunately for them, their job is to be the public face for the people who were in charge of bug checking.

If they're ignoring the e-mails, its time to get on the phone. And no, as upset as I am, I would not start yelling at customer service - I can be ranty as all get out on a forum like here with no consequence and lot more reined in on a phone call with someone who may not even know what game I'm talking about.

I don't quite understand: How does Natsume put the glitches in the games?

I mean, I don't THINK they do that on purpose... But how do they end up in the game?

WOO HOO TOT Fixie!!!! NOT! The rep from Natsume says not to go after Calvin, do not marry him, and keep his hearts at 4 or under. They just been made aware of this glitch today. The Techs are looking into it as we speak, there will most likely be no recall, but not sure, so at this point we're pretty much turniped! Wahhhhhhhhhhh  :?

When you mess around with the coding of something, either to translate or localize it, you can sometimes accidently cause a whole range of bugs to appear. I have no doubt Natsume didn't intentionally put these bugs in there, but since they're such a small company they probably didn't have the resources needed to check over everything. (Not an excuse for something as major as the Calvin glitch, but it's perfectly legit for smaller ones.)

Jeez... I called called Natsume and they were SO rude to me!!

This is basically how the convo went:

Sess: Hi I'm calling in regards to a glitch in the new harvest moon tree of tranquility... Did you know anything about what's going on?

Guy: WHAT GLITCH?

Sess: Erm it's with Calvin's request... the game freezes everytime I try to complete it...

Guy: *Silence*

Sess: Um.... so... do you have any ad-

Guy: LOWER HIS HEART LEVEL TO FOUR!! (He actually shouted this)

Sess: Erm... but I actually wanted to marry him, so..

Guy: Lower his heart level to FOUR!

Sess: Yeah, but-

Guy: You'll have to send your game into a technician, okay!?

Sess: Will they be fixing it?

Guy: I have no clue.

Sess: .... you have no clue...?

Guy: Yup... no clue.

Sess: Uh... ok... thanks...

Guy: *Snidely* You're welcome...

I seriously did not embelish this or change the wording at ALL... That is seriously what he said.... what a bunch of clowns... -.-

I would have wispered somethins like "I'm going to kill you." and then hung up real fast. Still that does suck.

I'm really tempted to call back and demand to speak to the supervisor or to the goddamn technician himself... but I doubt they'll put me through

Do it anyways. I would keep bugging them until I got a good response and answer.

Maybe if we all try calling them and demand to know what's going on something might happen... I think I'll call back later in the day to see if anything has improved... and this time if they're rude to me again I'm gonna be rude right back until I get an answer. That's ridiculous... you don't treat a customer like that. He barely told me ANYTHING... like how the hell to reach the MF technician or if I'd even be getting my game back at all.

I understand your guys frustration, but I think that just waiting a day might solve some of your problems. Calling Natsume a billion times and demanding to speak to a higher-up probably won't get you anywhere. The way I see it is that the Natsume techies are scrambling right now to confirm this glitch and the four hearts advice is just something they know will work to get you into the mine again. Hopefully, once this glitch is confirmed by the techies we'll get some more concrete answers.

i agree with the fishie. getting frustrated (and consequently acting frustrated) will get you nowhere. you should wait a bit, cool off, and then try again.

they probably don't know much more than that themselves, so it isn't like they could really help you much more. they could tone down the rudeness, but it could also be your mind projecting onto them (not saying that you are wrong, since everyone does it) and they may not have been as rude as you thought.

once the glitch is confirmed and once they have more information, then you will probably be able to get more information. you also have to keep in mind that customer service reps are still human, and that they don't know every new little piece of information that the techs find out as soon as they know it. the information has to be processed and make its way to the reps first.
