harvest moon heroes is supposed to be a cross between HM and no more heroes. ;P
it needs more farming, though. like... instead of being an assasin-farmer, you should instead try to outperform each other in your ranching duties, and then if you do that, then you can kill them. ;P

I never said the HM was dying, but if you have the same cast for the next fifty game you would get bored.

Something else I noticed, about the 2 new games.
Harvest Moon: Waku Waku Animal March (Wii)
Producer: Yasuhiro Wada
Harvest Moon: Welcome to the Wind Bazaar (DS)
Producer: Yoshifumi Hashimoto
It really does seem to be splitting off in two different directions, doesn't it?
(For those who don't know, Wada is the original creator of the HM series; and I believe Hashimoto worked on Rune Factory...)
Well, I'm glad Wada is working on Wakuani. But it makes me wonder if it will be his last HM game... Wind Bazaar is the first HM game I know of where Wada is not credited as the lead producer.

I hope not. D; Rune Factory was painfully boring for me, so if Hashimoto takes over they better step up their game. <.<

I think its a good thing.
HM needs to step up its game and bring something fresh to the table. More of the same is all well and good if you like doing the same things over and over, but a little innovation would be nice.

I didn't really like RF either. I enjoyed it when I played it but it was too easy and quickly became boring.
However, ToT = amazing. I bet Wakuani will be even more amazing xD

I liked RF very much, it brought something new to the table and was quite fun. : D
I have a feeling that not all HM fans like regular RPG's like I do, so its not for everyone.

Harvest Moon is pretty far from dying in my book. It seems to lose fans, but gain many or, like other game series. But I would love to see Harvest Moon Heroes. That would be an awesome knock-off.
