ToT: Unable to Marry Question

I apologize if this question as already been answered already. When I searched I got several random fanfics and witch glitches. :/

Anyway I can't marry Gill in Harvest Moon for the Wii. I finished all of his heart events, received the blue feather, got a double bed just in case, and he's at 10 hearts. I've proposed in clear weather and whenever he's not working. Everytime I ask him, he replies with an "Oh, a blue feather?"

Am I suppose to increase the size of my house again? Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Did you do his request event as well??

I married with
-Level three house (level two is needed)
-Double bed
-And completed the heart events and request

i did his 2 gift events and accepted them
his lunch date
his request event
his 6 heart event at the allan tree at brownie ranch
got the blue feather
has a level 2 house
he has 9 hearts with me at the moment

did u buy the double bed b4 you got married? do you have to propose to him at his house? i proposed to him at the church

I've married Gill and all i did was
I saw all the heart events
and i did buy a double bed but its not needed
My house was only level 2 and i completed only the first rainbow.
I proposed to him right as he entered the town hall at like 8:10 in the morning.

I don't really know whats wrong maybe just give him some more gifts and see.
He was at 10 hearts for me, btw.

Try and get him up to 10 hearts , see if that helps.

Yes, I bought the double bed before I proposed.
But I don't think the double bed is required, I think you can propose with a single, and you will just have the double bed after marriage.

I proposed to him while he was working in the Town Hall, if I remember correctly. I'm not 100% sure about this though, as I didn't save, I just wanted to see if he would accept, I actually married Luke (I had such a hard time deciding which to marry >.<). But they were both at 8 hearts, and accepted.

I think you should try proposing to him while he is working. You have done everything you need, so it should work...

Try talking to him early in the day. He wouldn't have most of the scenes later in the day with me.

You can propose while he's working, I offered the blue feather to Jin while he was working and he accepted it, but of course I had to buy the double bed first, because Jin wouldn't accept it until I did.

now to wait to get preggers

your house needs to be a level 2.
you need to see all his heart events.
complete his request.
get a double bed.
must have up to 8 hearts.

are you sure you got all that???

Try proposing when he's still in Waffle Town or Waffle Square. I proposed to him when he was standing in front of the steps that leads up to Waffle Square in the early morning and he accepted :>

Yep I did the all of the heart events including the request event. Unfortunately I only have a level 2 house, and I've retried proposing whenever I see him out of his house in Waffle town/Town Hall/Waffle Square.

Erk, I guess the guy just refuses to marry me.

Huh, I'm wondering if I should retry in the 2nd year.

I am having the same problem with Jin, 10 hearts, all events cleared. I think the key may be to propose while he is working but... any time I go to visit him at work the « Tulip » proposes to Anisse! After that whole love confession and everything to boot! Ugh, so sneaky this game, letting rivals marry on the first year. I will try different times and hope for the best but I think he is a lost cause.

Alright, it is this fish again. Yes, keep on giving them gifts and eventualy they will cave in and accept the proposal. I was able to get Jin at last even though whenever I entered the clinic at that point I triggered the rival proposal cutscene. So even if you're in high danger of losing your intended spouse, just avoid wherever they meet up with your rival and keep plugging away with gifts until they accept. It can be pretty tense but you can do it if you're very careful.
