Leveling up crops

ok so I do not have bthe maker yet but I have been two bags of seeds to every 6 squares and getting some level two vegetables but I tried too get some level three yams by doing the same but with three bags of crops to every six squares and got no level three crops.. why is this?

Without the seedmaker, you can only level up to level 2 crops.
You need the seedmaker so you can throw in the level 2 crops to make level 2 seeds. Then plant multiple bags of level 2 seeds on top of each other to get level 3 crops.
Then repeat the process ^_^.

You make level 3 crops by sowing multiple bags of level 2 crops in one spot. The more bags you sow, the higher your chances are for some of the crops to be leveled up. This means that when you plant more ölevel 1 bags, you'll just get more level 2 crops in return. You need the seed maker to be able to level up to level 3 and beyond.
I usually plant 5 bags of seeds per 6x3 area, giving me a yield of about 60/40 for leveled up/non-leveled up crops.

ah cool yeah I think I get it... so for instance you would need to sew multiple bags of level 50 crops to get level 60 crops

MUltiple bags of level 50 would get you level 51, not 60.

You can't skip levels and the highest level you can get to is 100.

You can find the adamantite on floor 0, so you don't necessarily have to go down the mine.
But in the mean time, enjoy your level 2 crops. They sell for 4x what the level 1 ones sell for.

Wow, do they? I never relised that. Anyway its fall. Yay... I got my level 5 carrot and spiniach and lvl 6 yam seeds ready to go.

havent played for a few days so I think either today or tomorrow Im gonna get the third mine open and then start leveling up my crops.. yaaaay
