Harvest Moon beginner mistakes that make you laugh now!

I'm also guilty of the gift-spamming, but for me it was on MFoMT. But like, I swear, I have an excuse- you could totally do that on Back to Nature! My brother raised Karen's heart by two levels in one day by bombarding her with wine. So on MFoMT I was like "« What The Eggplant » it's fall and he's still only got a blue heart..."

My first HM game was AWL

so when the guy who lives with you on your farm is like "Oh, you found a blue feather, let me put it on the shelf" I ran around for an entire season like "« What The Eggplant », WHAT SHELF" I thought he meant there was a shelf in your house it would be on...I restarted my game thinking it was a glitch, and then in my begining of the new game, when there giving you the tour of the farm he's like "Here's the shelf"

and I was like "D: OH MY GAWD"

My first HM game was AWL too.

I remember it took me like, a season to figure out where the shelf was for the blue feather. And when I found it, I thought that you had to get married ASAP; because Takakura in the beginning was like "OMFG GET WIFE NAO."

So I ran around, proposing to all the girls. I remember I went and proposed to Muffy, and I was confused when she said no. So then I went to Celia, and she said no. Then I tried Nami, positive she would say yes because she was the only one left. She said no too. Then I was really confused.

Then I figured out you had to work for the ladies. Lulz.

Eons ago, when Harvest Moon first came out (the SNES version), my brother and I played the game all the way through without ever realising how to upgrade your house; "the carpenters LIVE in that tree??" Haha, tiny children should not play Harvest Moon.

that reminds me of 64. i could NOT figure out how to upgrade my house. i kept talking to all of the carpenters over and over again until i realized that i had to examine the poster on the back wall. XD;;

I remember I got really confused when I first played MM. Since AWL was my first game, I was going off that as a base, and I was trying to plant the seeds 1 at a time. I was like "Why are these seeds so expensive?!"

When I played FoMT for the first time, I went around picking up and throwing colored grass cause I thought it was garbage. xD;

In IOH I forgot about my chicken and killed it also in Save the homeland I wasted a whole day because I could finnaly ride my horse (tho It could only walk) And Walked to Ronalds food shop and then It was time to go home D:

So in HM64 I tilled EVERY SINGLE plot I could on my farming area.
Like, seriously~ EVERY SINGLE ONE.

XDDD ROFL. What a retarded mistake.
I never even planted many crops so it was such a waste. And I'd get angry when new weeds appeared to ruin it all.

That's not as bad at tilling every single plot in HMGBC1...yeah, I was dumb. But it sure looked good xD

my first HM game was GBC1 and you can't marry in that game... so when I played HM64 I didn't marry in my first file til like year 3 because I didn't know you could. I don't think I even gave gifts to anyone in the first year! but I was around 9 or 10 at the time, I wasn't too bright, lol.

In Tot, I used the potato seed I got in the beggining on farm land that I did not own. That was pretty stupid.

The only thing I can distinctly remember was when I rented AWL for the first time. I was all,"YAY :D" and literally read through Takakura's intro very carefully so I didn't miss anything, then I named the cow and blahblahblah.

So, a few in game days go past, and then I randomly think,"HEY...where's Bessie? D:" and I run around /everywhere/, went in every building (except one specific building, since I can't see a door) but I can't find head or tail of the cow. A couple more days pass and the thing dies, and I'm all,"NUUU. D':"

Then I wander around my farm for a bit. And...I find the barn door. I swear I could /not/ see the door before. I just stared, and stared, and stared at my TV screen for like 5 minutes. Then I deleted the data and started over feeling like a total idiot. XD

My first Harvest Moon game was FoMT. I read the sign next to the chicken coop that said you could make chicken feed from corn, so I spent some time growing the corn, then threw a bunch into the rucksack. I took it all out so I could toss it into the water wheel thing, and I threw it into the river. It wasn't like "Oh no, I accidentally didn't notice I was facing the river!", I seriously thought that's the way I supposed to be standing.

After I realized this, I swear, my face was like ":D ... ... ... ... DDDD:!!!"
